Que pasa guys!
Por ultima vez!! (For the last time!!)
This my last blog and last rant online of my time as an Insight Ambassador 2012/13 and what a year it has been! I hope some of my blogs, at least, have helped many of you out or shed some more light on course going-ons and uni life in general!
So my results came out yesterday and I passed second year with a first overall; just! I received 5 Firsts in Forensic Evidence, Medical Microbiology (so happy there), Endocrinology, Forensic Earth Science, and Forensic Imaging (the last two totally shocked by); a 2:1 in Molecular Biology and a 2:2 in Analytical Chemistry. Safe to say I am chuffed!
Now it’s over to you and your wait for those all important A Level results on the 15th August. I remember this wait all too well, wondering if I had made the right choices for university and whether or not I would get the grades.
And a huge thank you to you guys for following us and reading our blogs, we really wouldn’t be here without you readers!!
All I can advise is don’t dwell on results day too much, enjoy your summer right away and hell even start getting in a few supplies think of it as an exciting time and buy your crockery ready for move in day!
Spend as much time with your friends as you can over the summer, especially if you are all off all over the place who knows when you can all meet up together again!
Take a look at the accommodation site to get any information you still need and when you will be allocated your accommodation. Also have a review of some of the blogs from myself and the rest of the team from the previous year for ‘refreshing’ anything you may have missed!
Look forward to an amazing time at Fresher’s week and meeting loads of new people, but don’t party too hard haha 😉
Please keep following the USW insight ambassador team on twitter, if you don’t already, @uswinsight and befriend the new 2013/14 ambassadors who will be providing you with some pretty decent blogs throughout the summer too.
This year’s insight team operates slightly differently with one ambassador from each campus forming the group, these guys are:
- Rhys Gunter – Treforest Campus
- Leonie Chevalier – Glyntaff Campus (An Observational Astronomer so you are in for some pretty interesting blogs there)
- Jacob Roberts – Cardiff ATRium campus
- Kayleigh Rudd – Newport City Campus
- Paige Hunter – Caerleon Campus
Once again it is your turn to experience everything we have spoken about over the past year for yourself.
Have an amazing summer guys and I hope you all get the grades you want, maybe even see some of you here at the University of South Wales.
If you recognise me, make yourself known and say hello; it’s always nice meeting new people!
I leave you now with this rather unnerving image of a soil sample we grew in the lab…what’s in your soil I wonder??
Until next time, I bid you adieu, or as we say it in Spain, “Hasta luego!”
